Fine the area of a square inscribed in a circle of radius 8cm​

∵ The diagonals of square subtend right angle at circumference.

∴The diagonals of square are diameters of circle.

BD = 2*8 = 16cm

Let the sides of square be 'x' cm

in the right angle triangle BCD,

BC² +CD² = BD²

x² + x² = 16²

2x² = 256

x² = 128

Thus the area of square is x² = 128cm²
