GIVEN -

5x - 5 = 2x + 4

TO FIND -

x

ANSWER-

5x - 5 = 2x + 4

Taking 5 to the left hand side , we get,

5x = 2x + 4 + 5

Taking 2x to the right hand side, we get

5x - 2x = 4 + 5

3x = 9

x = 3
