Answer:

Between 1 to 100 , even numbers are 2,4,6,8,10,12………..98.

Clearly the above series are in A. P (arthmetic progression), so to find the numbers of terms between 2 to 98,

L = a + (n-1) ×d

L = last term

a = first term of series

n = number of terms in series

L = 98

a = 2

d = difference between two consecutive terms

d = 4–2 = 2

98 = 2+(n-1) ×2

n = 49

In A. P, sum of terms is given by the formula:

S = (first term + last term) × n / (1/2)

S= (2+98)× 49 ×1/2

S = 2450 which is our answer.

It can also be solved by direct formula of sum of n natural even numbers ( n(n+1)).

Between 2 to 98, n = 49

S = n(n+1)

S = 49×(49+1)

S= 49×50

S = 2450 , our answer

Answer:

2550

Step-by-step explanation:

even number btw 0 to 100=50

so,the equation is n(n+1)

the answer is 50(50+1)

= 50*51 =2550
