hello

our skin of finger shrinks when we do the same, as when we wash the clothes the water around the fingers or hand behaves like hypertonic solution and water starts coming out from finger(cell) to out side region causing the fingers to shrink.

Our skin acts as a semi-permeable membrane. When we wash clothes are hands are exposed to water for a long time. Our hand behave as a hypertonic solution and the outside of our hands behave as a hypotonic solution. The water is not entering your hands, it actually leaves them and ,hence, they shrink
