Fire is the most common source of heat. It is useful but also dangerous because it can cause houses, trees and many other things to burn into ashes. Forest fires are very harmful. They can destroy a huge area in a matter of minutes. Every year people die by accident from fire. Fire is useful if it is treated carefully. People need its heat to keep warm on cold days. It is also used to cook food. Its light is useful to see in dark places. We also use fire to keep wild animals awy from us in forests.
