My first day went really great. I was exited to know how I would work, whether practically or statistically. I even learnt about the history of Indian textile industries, how they emerged. My colleagues gave me knowledge about the Textile industry in India where traditionally, after agriculture, is the only industry that has generated huge employment for both skilled and unskilled labor. The textile industry continues to be the second largest employment generating sector in India. It offers direct employment to over 35 million in the country. The share of textiles in total exports was around 11% during April to July in 2010, as per the Ministry of Textiles. During 2009-2010, Indian textile industry was pegged at US$55 billion, 64% of which services domestic demands. In 2010, there were 2,500 textile weaving factories and 4,135 textile finishing factories in all over India. After knowing so much I was more eagered to learn and work in textile industry.

hope helps you
