Draw AC parallel to OD

BD=BC+CD

BC=BD-CD

BC=v-u

Also AC,t

Acceleration,(a)= change in velocity/time taken

a= BC/AC = v-u/t

a=v-u/t

at=v-u

v=u+at

This is the first equation of motion
