As I watch, the waves they look fun and almost innocent as they crest and then crash over one another. I can taste the salt in the air and watch little rainbows glisten through the prisms of the ocean's spray. The warm ocean water toward the shore is covered with white from and bubbles from the rumbling of waves.
The oceans are full of life. A variety of animals and plants must survive together. Invertebrates like crabs, starfish and worms roam the sea floors. Coral grow in large numbers, creating a home for these creatures.

Answer:
When you first start sailing, it gets frustrating, things don't go how you want them. But the ocean teaches you one massive lesson, that you are not in control, and you will never be ( Well out on the ocean that is ). You can cry , and scream, and howl. It won't do a thing, the waves will crash over your boat, and the wind will drown out your cries.
So you have to learn to just let go, do what you can, try to keep your course, but the harder you try to fight the ocean, the more she will mess you around.
My first Atlantic crossing, I was terrified, The winds howled for days on end, and the waves, wow. they were huge .. I had no control over the boat, we just went with the wind. For 8 days, I prayed, I cried ( Inwardly ), I bargained, I promised.. and still those ocean waves would not calm , and the screeching of the winds got worse.
And then, just like that. I took a deep breath, and calmed down, closed my eyes, and opened them slowly. And it was beautiful, those waves were towering and frothing, like glittering diamonds and the screeching winds became songs, To be able to experience that magnificent wild ocean, it was a privilege, I was just a guest out here. I was allowed to be here, I was given passage.
One has to become almost resigned to the fact that if the ocean wants to kill you it will, and there is nothing you can do about it.
So I started to enjoy the weather, I was in awe, and I have so much respect for the ocean.
I still get scared, my heart race, but I am not crippled by my fear. I don't give in, I do what I can, as best as i can, and enjoy the ride.
