 \frac{y}{3}  -  \frac{7}{2}  =  \frac{ - y}{4}

 \implies \frac{2y - 21}{6}  =  \frac{ - y}{4}

 \implies 4(2y - 21) =  - 6y

 \implies 8y - 84 =  - 6y

 \implies 8y + 6y = 14

 \implies 14y = 84

 \implies y = 6

Answer:

 \frac{y}{3}  -  \frac{7}{2}  =  \frac{ - y}{4}

 \frac{ - 7}{2}  =  \frac{( - y)}{4}  -  \frac{y}{3}

 \frac{ -7 }{2} =  \frac{ - 3y - 4y}{12}

 \frac{ - 7}{2}  =  \frac{ -7 y}{12}

 \frac{ - 7 \times 12}{2}  =  - 7y

 - 7 \times 6 =  - 7y

 \frac{ - 7 \times 6}{ - 7}  = y

y = 6
