given that first term of the ap is -2 . so a = -2.

also given that 10th term is 28 .

we know that 10th term can be expressed as

a + 9d

so a + 9d = 28

substituting the value of a,

-2 + 9d = 28

= 9d = 30

so d = 30 / 9 = 10/3 or 3.3 (approx).
