Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 'a' be the first term and 'd' be the common difference.

First term = a = 4.

Common difference = d = 3.

12th term is same as 8th term with c.d -5:

a₁₂ = a₈

⇒ a + (12 - 1) * d = a + (8 - 1) * d

⇒ 4 + 11 * 3 = -5 + 7 * d

⇒ 37 = -5 + 7d

⇒ 42 = 7d

⇒ d = 6.

Therefore,Common difference of the second AP = 6.

Hope it helps!

First term of AP=4
Common difference=3
then 12th term=a+(n-1)d
a12=4+11×3=4+33=37
Now,another AP,8th term=12th term of first term
Now,a=-5
then,a8=a+(n-1)d
37=-5+7d
37+5=7d
42=7d
d=42/7=6
So the common difference of another AP is 6
