We Know, General equation of line is of form :-

y = mx + c

where, m = slope

c = Constant

Here, m = -3

So, y = -3x + c

put value of the point where the line passes, we will get the constant c.

It passes through (-1 , -4) [Given]

Therefore, -4 = -3 × -1 + c

-4 = 3 + c

c = -1

So, Equation of the line whose slope is -3 and which passes through (-1 , -4) is :-

y = -3x + (-1)

Hope it helps.
