The first woman prime minister of the India was the Indira Gandhi.
Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi was the first woman Prime Minister of the India. She was the central figure of the National Congress Party of India. As a first woman Prime Minister of the India, she had served from 1966 to 1977 and from 1980 to 1984 (till her death).
