Jehangir's 1st year as the Mughal emperor was faced by a strong rebellion. This rebellion was organised by his eldest son Khusrau Mirza.
Nearly 2000 soldiers from Khusrau's army were executed and Khusrau was captured alive. As a strict punishment, Jehangir’s blinded his elder son. It was a very weak rebellion which could not face the mighty Mughal army.
