Fish lay cluster of eggs called roe.

Explanation:

The spawn or eggs of a fish is called as roe. It is classified into two types.

i. Hard roe is defined as the spawn contained within or disconnected from the ovary, particularly at the time of food preparation.

ii. Soft roe is defined as the milt-containing testes of a fish, particularly at the time of food preparation.

The more number of eggs were layed by a fish because only a few of them would be fertilized and produced as fishes. To survive and hatch of eggs are difficult because the eggs are highly sensitive.
