Fish mortality increases with influx of nutrients in a fresh- water body '. Write two reasons. How will the influx of nutrients affect the BOD level of this water body?

High influx of nutrients result in growth of algae (algal bloom) now this algae utilize the oxygen in water leading to biological oxygen demand ( BOD) . Hence mortality of fish increase .
