Hey mate.
Here is your answer-

Fish prefer to go in deep water during daylight because during day the sun heats heats the water and shallow water becomes warm and only few fishes like warm water. Also when water of there becomes warm dissolved oxygen in water get evaporated, thus reducing the amount of oxygen in the above water. Also because of daylight there becomes brightness in the water and the predators get easy to see and identify their prey.So fishes goes deeper to protect themselves.

Hope it helps!!!!!

london2023: See...we know that acc to henry's law....
london2023: P=Kh*X,where Kh is the henry's constant which increases on increase in temoerature.
london2023: Acc to henry's law-The partial pressure of a gas above a solution id directly proportional to the mole fraction of the gas in the solution....i.,e,more is the partial pressure of oxygen above the water body..,more is the dissolved oxygen
london2023: So there are 2 possible ways of understanding this question....mathematical way and conceptual way
london2023: Starting with the mathematical way....If u look closely at the eqaution I mentioned above ....it can be concluded that the partial pressure P being constant,as the temp increases, the value of Kh increases.....and automatically the value of X decreases....meaning that the solubility of oxygen in water decreases
london2023: Now talking about the conceptual way,we are very much familiar with the fact that any gas becomes less soluble in a liquid when there is an increase in temp in its suurounding
GRANDMESSI: I know it very well.Without knowing it how could I answer.
london2023: Now coming back to the question asked ....during daytime the temp of water near the surface is high...meaning that the amount of O2 dissolved is less near the surface,so the fishes will feel suffocated...............on the other hand,as we go deep into the water body, the temp becomes cooler and cooler, which implies that the amount of Oxygen dissolved will me more in the depths....so the fishes will feel more comfortable in the depths rather than near the surface of eater bodies during daylight
london2023: Grandmessi...sorry my frnd...I wrote this answer for the asker...thiswasn't meant for u
london2023: I answerd this question cuz I thought that 2 explanations wold help BHISHNUALERY to have a better understanding the concept behind the question asked.
