after putting the bottle in a pan of water the balloon fitted to the mouth of the bottle inflates.

after the bottle is allowed to cool the balloon will slowly shrinks.

these two phenomenons happen due to expansion of air inside the bottle which gets filled in the balloon causing it to inflate and on cooling the air inside the bottle contracts causing the balloon to shrink
