Advantages of Phoughing are :-

1. It makes the soil loosen. Loose soil has more air spaces which allows the roots to breath easily.

2. Loose soil help the roots to penetrate deep into the soil. This fixes the plant firmly to the soil.

3. Loose soil helps in the growth of microbes and earthworms. Earths and microbes add humus to the soil and increases the soil fertility.

4. Ploughing uproots unwanted weeds.

5. Ploughing brings the nurient rich soil from the lower layer to the top. Thus makes it easily available for plant use.

6. Ploughing helps in mixing of manure and fertilisers uniformly to the soil.
