Five bells begin to toll together and toll respectively at intervals of 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12 second. How many times will they toll together in one hour, excluding the one at the start?

<font color = black>

||Solution||

No. of second after bell rang together = LCM of 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12

No. of second after bell rang together = 504 second.

1 minute = 60 second

1 hour = 60 minutes

60 minutes = 3600 seconds

No. of times bell rang together in a hour \displaystyle &#8658 3600 seconds ÷ 504 seconds

 \displaystyle &#8658 7 times

No. of times bell rang together in a hour excluding one at start \displaystyle &#8658 7 times - 1 times

 \displaystyle &#8658 6 times

||Answer : 6 times ||
