Conservation of momentum :-

Total initial momentum = mv +(2m)(2v) + ..... + (5m)(5v)

= 55mv

Total final moment : -

(m + 2m +..... + 5m)V

Because all masses stick together later on

15mV

Total initial momentum = Total final momentum

55 mv = 15mV

V = 11/3 v in the same direction as that of initial masses
