Five characteristics of kingdom fungi are :-
1. These are heterotrophic organisms.
2. They are eukaryotic organisms.
3. They use decaying organic material as food and are therefore called saprophytes.
4. Many of them have the capacity to become multicellular at certain stages of their life.
5. They have cell have made up of a tough complex sugar called chitin.
6. Ex :- Yeast and Mushroom.
