Five characteristics of Indian desert are as follows:-

- It has uneven large sand dunes and the soil is mostly sandy in texture.

- the Indian desert lies towards the Western margin of the Aravali Hills.


- it is an undulating Sandy plain cover with sand dunes.

- this reason receive very low rainfall below 150 mm per year

- streams appear during the rainy season.
