Physical changes :

1. Physical changes only effect physical properties .

2. Physical changes produce no energy .

3. Physical changes produce no new substances the atoms are arranged the same way in the products and reactants .

4. Physical changes are generally easy to reverse .

Chemical changes :

1. Chemical changes will effect both physical and chemical properties .

2. Chemical changes produce energy generally in the form of heat , light or sound .

3. Chemical changes produce new substances the atoms rearrange and form new compounds.

4. Chemical changes are not easily reversible without an additional chemical reaction .
