1. Vector is used to denotes a quantity having magnitude as well as 2.direction.

& 1.Scalar is used to denotes a quantity having only magnitude but 2.Scalar quality has not any direction.

3. vector product of any two or more quantities are also known as cross product. 3. Scalar product of any two quantities are known as dot product.

4. vector product are sine functions on the other hand scalar product are cosine functions.

5. eg. of vector quantities :- velocity, displacement etc.

on the other hand

eg. of scalar quantities :- speed , distance etc.
