Himalayas consists of three parallel ranges namely himadri,himachal,and shivalik.
himadri features::
•mostly covered with snow
•glaciers found here
•average elevation-6100m.
•source for perennial rivers
•ever green forests vegetation
himachal features::
•mostly rugged relief
•composed of sedimentary and compressed rocks
•average elevation-3700-4500m.
•famous valleys(kashmir)found here
•famous hill stations found here
shivalik features::
•outline for himalayas
•average elevation-1000m.
•duns found in between shivaliks and himachal
•bhabar and terai regions found here
