Features of the Constitution of 1791 framed by the National Assembly :
(i)   Limit the power of the Monarch.
(ii) Powers were separated to different institutions - the Legislature, Executive and the Judiciary.
(iii) Constitutional monarchy was introduced.
(iv) Power to make laws to National Assembly.
(v) Citizens were grouped into active and passive citizens i.e. active citizens had right to vote.

Features of French Constitution of 1791:-
•The main objective of France Constitution of 1791 was to limit the powers of the monarch. Power instead of being concentrated in the hands of few were now divided and assigned to different institutions.

•The Legislature consisted of a national assembly which was elected by 50,000 electors which were elected by Active Citizens*

•The Executive consisted of a king and some ministers appointed by him. The National Assembly controlled the executive but the king has the "veto power"

•The Judiciary consisted a judge which was appointed by Active Citizens.

*Active Citizens were only men above 25 yrs of age and paid at least 3 days of labourer's wage.
