Five mangoes and four oranges cost as much as three mangoes and seven oranges. What is the ratio of the cost of one mango to the cost of one orange

Let one mango be x

and one orange be y

so 5x+4y=p

and 3x+7y=p

from first equations we have

5x+4y=3x+7y

on simplyfying

2x=3y

x/y=3/2

so the ratio of cost of one mango to one orange is 3:2
