Let the cost of puff = x rupees

Let the cost of samosa = y rupees

Cost of puff = 2 ( cost of samosa )

x = 2y

Cost of 5 puffs and 2 samosas = 48 rupees

5x + 2y = 48

5*2y + 2y = 48

10y + 2y = 48

12y = 48

y = 4 rupees

Cost of samosa = y = 4 rupees

Cost of puff = x = 2y = 2*4 rupees = 8 rupees
