Hey here is your answer :-

five rational no between 1/2 and -1/2

It's base are same i.e. 2

So,

To find 5 rational numbers between 1/2 and -1/2 we have to both multiply and divide it by 6

=> \frac{1}{2} \\ \\ \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{6}{6} \\ \\ \frac{6}{12} \\ \\ now \: \frac{ - 1}{2} \\ \\ \frac{ - 1}{2} \times \frac{6}{6} \\ \\ \frac{ - 6}{12}

Now we have to find the rational numbers between 6/12 and -6/12

So rational numbers are :-

5/12 , 4/12 , 3/12 , 2/12 , 1/12 , 0/12 , -1/12 , -2/12 , -3/12 , -4/12 , -5/12 etc......

hope this helps you dear

Given numbers :

 \frac{1}{2} and \frac{ - 1}{2}
To find :

5 rational numbers between them

Solution :

Multiply both numbers by 10 (Both numerator and denominator)

 \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{10}{10}and \frac{ - 1}{2}  \times  \frac{10}{10}  \\  \frac{10}{20} and \frac{ - 10}{20}
Now ,5 Rational numbers between them are

-9/20,-8/20,-7/20,-6/20,-5/20,-4/20 .

There are infinite rational numbers between them.

What are rational numbers ?

=> The numbers which are in the form of p/q where p and q € Integers and q≠ 0 .

Eg : 1,57/60

Thanks !!
