Five square flower beds each of sides 1.2m are dug in a piece of land 4.8my long and 4.2m wide . what is the area of the remaining part of the land?

remaining part =(4·8×4·2)\1·2×1·2=(4×14)\4= 14 m² ans

Area of bed = a^2 = 1.2^2= 1.44m^2
Area of 5 beds = 1.44×5 = 7.2m^2
Area of flore = l×b = 4.8×4.2 = 20.16m^2
Remaining area = 20.16 - 7.2 = 12.96m^2
