Total area=5m*4m=20m(square)

Area taken by 5 beds=1m*1m*5=5m(square)

Therefore, remaining area=20m(square)-5m(square)=15m(square)

Answer :

We know that,

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

It is given in the question that,

Length of rectangle = 5 m

Breadth of rectangle = 4 m

Therefore,

Area of land = Length × Breadth

= 5 × 4

= 20 m2

Also,

Area occupied by 5 flower beds = 5 × (Side)²

= 5 × (1)²

= 5 m²

Therefore,

Area of remaining part = 20 – 5 = 15 m²
