→ Area of small square = 1 unit²
→ (side)² = 1
so,
→ side of small square = 1 unit .
now, Let us assume that,
- side of square above shaded square = x unit .
then, we have,
- side of square on left of shaded square = (x + 1) unit .
- and, side of square down to square on left of shaded square = (x + 1) + 1 = (x + 2) unit .
- finally, side of largest square = (x + 2) + 1 = (x + 3) unit .
as we can see that,
→ (x - 1) + h = side of largest square
→ x - 1 + h = (x + 3)
→ h = 3 + 1
→ h = 4 units (Ans.)
