Step-by-step explanation:

And A's age 5 years ago = (y-5) years. B's age 10 years hence = (x+10)years. A's age 10 years hence = (y+10) years. On subtracting (2)from (1),we get, x=20

Answer:

Solution : Present age of B = x years

Present age of A = 5x years

According to question

5x + 10 =3(X+ 10)

5x + 10 = 3x + 30

5x – 3x = 30 – 10

2x = 20

X = 20/2

X = 10

Hence present age of B = 10 years

And present age of A =5x10 = 50 years
