Step-by-step explanation:

present age of A =x

present age of B= y

after 5 years

the equation will be

=x-5=3(y-5)

x-5=3y-15

so by solving we get

x-3y= -10 (i)

so after 10 years

x+10=2(y+10) (ii)

so by solving equation (ii)

we get y=20

so by putting the value of y in (i)

x=3y-10

x=3(20)-10

x=60-10

x=50

present age of A is 50
