Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Radha's age = 15 years

Shama's age = 10 years

● Explanation -

Let x and y be present age of Radha and Shama.

Five years ago,

x-5 = 2 (y-5)

x - 5 = 2y - 10

x = 2y - 5 ...(1)

Five years later,

x+5 = (y+5) + 5

x + 5 = y + 10

x = y + 5 ...(2)

From (1) & (2),

2y - 5 = y + 5

2y - y = 5 + 5

y = 10 years

Solving for x,

x = y + 5

x = 10 + 5

x = 15 years

Hence, Radha's age is 15 years and Shama's age is 10 years.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
