Three years ago,
Shashi's age = x
Shivani's age = 3x
Now,
Present age of Shashi = x+3
Present age of Shivani = 3x+3
Ten years hence
Shashi's age = x+3+10 = x+13
Shivani's age = 3x+3+10 = 3x+13
A/Q 3x+13 = 2(x+13)
3x+13 = 2x+26
x=13
∴Shashi's present age = x+3 = 13+3 = 16 yrs
Shivani's present age = 3x+3 = 3x13+3 = 42 yrs
Shashi's age = x
Shivani's age = 3x
Now,
Present age of Shashi = x+3
Present age of Shivani = 3x+3
Ten years hence
Shashi's age = x+3+10 = x+13
Shivani's age = 3x+3+10 = 3x+13
A/Q 3x+13 = 2(x+13)
3x+13 = 2x+26
x=13
∴Shashi's present age = x+3 = 13+3 = 16 yrs
Shivani's present age = 3x+3 = 3x13+3 = 42 yrs
