let the present age of father be x

so son will be 70-x

5 years ago,

father's age =x-5

and son age=70-x-5=65-x

acc to Ques

x-5=2(65-x)

x-5=130-2x

2x+x=130+5

3x=135

x=135÷3

x=45

so,

present age of father is 45 yrs

and so is 70-45 i.e. 25 yrs
