Let the present age of A be y and of B is x

So according to 1st condition

⇒4(x−5)=y−5

⇒4x−20=y−5

⇒y=4x−15.....(i)

Now according to 2

nd

condition

⇒5+y=2(x+5)

∴5+(4x−15)=2(x+5)

∴x=10

now from eq. (i) we get,

⇒y=25

∴ y=25 and x=10
