Let the mother's age be 7x and her daughter's be 2x (5 years ago)

after 10 years from present

(7x+15)/2 = 2x+15

7x+15 =4x+30

3x = 15

x=5

Their present ages are

Mom =7*5+5 =40

daughter = 2*5+5 =15

Answer: daughter age will be 15 yr

Mother age will be 40 yr

Step-by-step explanation:

Let assume mother age =x, daughter age =y

From question

x-5/y-5 = 7/2. ...(i)

y+10 = 1/2(x+10). ...(ii)

Solving these two equ. We get

2x-10 = 7y+35. (i)

2y+20 = x+10. (ii)

from (ii)

x = 2y+10 put this in equ. (i) we get

2(2y+20)-10 = 7y-35

By simplifying

y=45/3=15 and x = 40
