"Five years from now, father's age will be 3 times the age of son. Five years ago, father's age was 7 times as old as his son". Represent this situation as a pair of linear equations in x and y.​

y + 5 = 3(x + 5)

y - 5 = 7(x - 5)

hence, equation is

x²- 10 = x¹ ( son's age)
