8)Every species or organisms has inbuilt tendency for genetic variation which plays an important role in the origin of new species and forms the the basis for evolution. The more characteristics two species have in common, the more closely they are related. And they are likely to have a a common ancestor more recently. Classification of organisms necessarily involves, organizing them in different groups, based on the similarities and differences of characteristics. Classifying organisms helps us in recognizing the basic arrangement of a hierarchical structure among diverse species. So, classification of species is a reflection of their evolutionary relationship. Thus, we can say that evolution and classification are interlinked.

9)Forests are considered ‘biodiversity hot spots’ because large number of life forms (such as bacteria, fungi, fern, nematodes, insects, birds, reptiles, mammals, gymnosperms and angiosperms) are found there. These are the regions with large biodiversity of endangered species, many of them being highly endemic. Such regions are being subjected to large scale destruction and hence are called ‘hot spots’ by ecologists.

Ways in which an individual can contribute:

Not allowing cutting of trees.

To promote or to make people aware about the importance of forests and wildlife.

Not using wildlife products like fur coat or any other named product.

10)Involuntary action is the set of muscle movement which do not require            thinking. But it is controlled by brain for example beating of heart beat.

While on the other hand, the reflex action is rapid and spontaneous action in response to any stimulus which doesn’t involve brain. For example – shutting eyes immediately when bright light is focused on them.
