Fixed SPM, which allows  only He(g) to cross it.
The entire system is at equilibrium at 300 K. The volume of each chamber is 82.1 L. The total pressure in left chamber is 4 atm and in right chamber, 2 atm. NH3(g) and H2S(g) are obtained only from the dissociation of NH4HS(s). The value of Kp (in atm2) for the reaction NH4HS(s) ---->NH3(g) + H2S(g)

Answer:

given = system ; temprature = 300K

                           volume= 82.1L

                           pressure = 4atm, pressure in other chamber = 2atm

                            refer the attched diagram

to find = The value of Kp (in atm2) for the reaction NH4HS(s) ---->NH3(g) + H2S(g)

solution=

PHe = 2atm

PNH3 = PH₂³= 4-2 /2

PNH3 = PH₂³= 1 atm

Kp = 1 x1

Kp = 1atm²
