I think alkenes have more energy due to double bond in them.

Explanation:

Think of glucose, it is needed for respiration as it provide us energy but how does it provide? We break the bonds of glucose and the energy is released and that energy is stored in tha bonds of ATP. So generally more bonds means more energy. Also we know fats gives more calories than sugar because of same reason.ie more number of bonds.
