According to this rule, stretch the thumb, forefinger and centre finger of right hand in mutually perpendicular directions such that the forefinger points in the direction of magnetic field and thumb is along the direction of motion of the conductor, the centre finger will point in the direction of the induced current.

The forefinger, the middle finger and the thumb of the right hand are held in three mutually perpendicular directions. If the forefinger points along the direction of the magnetic field and the thumb along the direction of motion of the magnetic field and the thumb along the direction of motion of the conductor, then the middle finger points in the direction of induced current.
