Flies act as a vector organism in carrying the pathogen or the causative organism of a certain disease. It can spread the disease causing microorganism from one place to another very easily.

Where they can be found?

  • Over food.
  • Garbage and wastes.
  • Sewage

When they sit on dirty and polluted places, they carry many such micro-organisms and disease causing pathogen. This is then transferred over to uncovered fresh food which enters our mouth in somewhile.

What're the diseases?

  • Mostly Intestinal diseases like food positioning, typhoid, cholera etc.

  • Infections in Eye (conjunctivitis)

Hence:-

We should prefer eating clean, covered and healthy food made in our homes in place of unhygienic food in roadside vendors. We should drink boiled and purified water. Maintaining proper waste management and sewage treatment in our areas. We should always prefer not to go near the dumping areas.
