Given :

Length of the floor is 10m

The breadth of the floor is 8m

So, ( applying ar. l×b )

ar. of floor =10m×8m=80m

. Side of the carpet is 7m

So, (applying ar. of sq. =side×side(s

area of carpet=7m×7m=49m

.

To find the area of the floor that is not carpeted or (uncarpeted) we will (−) minus the ar. of the floor from ar. of carpet

area which is not carpeted or( uncarpeted ) =80m

−49m

=31m

.

Hence, answer Is 31m.

Answer:

31m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the floor = 10m*8m

= 80m²

Area of the carpet = 7m*7m

= 49m²

Area of the floor that is not carpeted = Area of the floor - Area of the carpet

= 80m²- 49m²

= 31m²
