Answer:

Explanation:

Alternative Energy - Usa..Over the last couple of years the need for non conventional sources of energy has increased dramatically. As natural resources are rapidly declining governments are doing their best to make the switch before it’s too late. In order to inspire residents to use alternative energy incentives are given to reduce the cost of installation.

Non conventional sources are regarded as sources that are able to sustain themselves, seeing as the energy is generated through the elements of nature. Heat and wind cannot be depleted which makes them invaluable to the human race.

Solar Energy

Solar power, much like most alternative sources, has been around for some time now. By utilizing the rays of the sun through solar collectors within the panels, the solar energy that is captured is then converted from AC to DC. It can be a passive or active source of power and this depends on the way the energy is stored and converted.

Wind Power

Wind turbines are the most popular structures that are used to convert the speed of wind into usable electricity. They can be found on land, usually near the coast in areas where there is a constant strong wind, or in the ocean. They can generate more power than solar panels, but they are also much more expensive and require a windy area to work effectively.

Hydro Power

Given that water is much denser than air a slow stream can still produce substantial amounts of energy. There are three different types of ways hydro power is generated. These systems differ in size. China is currently the biggest producer of hydro power and they have one of the largest hydro stations in the world.

Biomass

Biomass refers to biological materials that are typically extracted from plants and trees. The great thing about biomass is its versatility. Biomass can be converted into biofuel or other types of energy such as biodiesel and methane. It is also one of the oldest sources of energy like this to be used, usually for combustion and heating.

Biofuel

As mentioned earlier, biomass is responsible for creating biofuel. It comes in three different forms, namely liquid, gas and solid. Just like biomass it is very versatile in its use. America and Brazil are the countries where biofuel is used the most.

Geothermal Energy

The origins of geothermal energy come from the heat stored within the Earth. Temperatures beyond the crust of the earth can reach scorching numbers. The world usually sees this type of energy in action when a volcano erupts. In ancient Rome hot springs were used to bathe in while other used it for heating room temperature. At this moment it serves as a precious source of energy.

Due to technological advancements the notion of implementing non conventional sources of energy is becoming more and more affordable. Residential and commercial areas are both taking advantage of sustainable energy, especially the independence that comes with it.
