The natural process of breakdown of a complex substance into simpler matter(decomposition) and recycling of organic material are called composting.

Explanation:

  • The dry compost consist of dry substances i.e, they don't have water or moisture and are rich in carbon content. The decomposition process is slower in the dry compost. The dry compost includes dry leaves, cut grass, twigs, paper etc.
  • The wet compost has water content and is easily decomposed by decomposers. The wet compost includes leftover fruits, vegetable and food, green leaves, animal manure.
