Digestion, respiration and circulatory system of living organisms are all dependent on one another. These systems act together to provide the needed energy (in form of ATP) for the organism, to drive its bodily functions.
Oxygen is taken in from the air breathed in to the lungs which then diffuses into the capillaries of the lungs from which it enters the circulatory system. The blood becomes oxygenated blood. (this marks the relationship between the circulatory and the respiratory system)
The oxygenated blood is then supplied to various tissues and cells of the organism.
Concurrently, digested food from the alimentary canal enters the circulatory system through absorption. The absorbed food is then transported into the various tissues and cells of the organisms as well. (the circulatory system is the connection between the respiratory and the digestive system).
In the cells of the organism the digested food and the oxygen combine, as the food (especially carbohydrates) undergoes oxidation in what is known as cellular respiration. This process produces energy in the form of ATP molecules that is used by the organism to drive its metabolic processes.
